Description
Saint Francis, patron saint of the birds, accents the arrangement pictured, one of the "Character Sketches Painted With Flowers" which formed the program for Mary Daggett Lake Day Friday at the Garden Center. The Fort Worth Garden Club, which has had the Garden Center as its chief civic project since its opening 20 years ago, honored Mrs. Lake, Center director since the founding, with an all day meeting. Mrs. Alfred McKnight "painted" the 12 character sketches, with flowers and various accessories, to depict outstanding personal attributes of Mrs. Lake.
