These two youngsters are top cotton producers and winners in a South Plains cotton production contest. At left is John Paul Schacht, Floyd County 4-H boy who produced 4,656 pounds on five irrigated acres. At right is Rex Faulkner, Cochran County 4-H boy who produced 2,820 pounds on five dryland acres. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition February 29, 1952.
