Description
Billy Costa, Houston's shortstop, leaves City-County Hospital for airport and plane trip home to Houston. Billy was being treated for polio. Assisting are Mrs. Mary McCoy, nurse at left, and Costa's wife, Helen. Costa's polio case has been "arrested" and it seems certain he again will be able to play baseball. Billy is shown in a wheelchair.
