Description

In the far right corner sits one of two air-conditioning units donated to City County Hospital's polio ward by Sid Richardson and Amon Carter. The units have brought comfort and efficiency to the iron lung room. To left is Ann Zauf, polio nurse attending Jimmy Corsley. Shown in lung at far left is Wendell Lantz. Two other patients are seen in the room. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition August 27, 1951.
