Description

High winds ripped the metal awning from the front of Varsity Book Store, 3057 South University Drive, scattering it on the sidewalk in front of the store. Numerous signs were blown down or damaged around town. Pictured is a book store metal awning which was blown down during a storm. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition June 16, 1951.
