Description
While heavy mobile machinery is layering concrete on the north lane of the East-West Expressway 1,000 feet east of South Merrick St. at the rate of 1/4 mile per day, manual labor is used to add the final touch. The two workmen are shown rippling the concrete with a heavy cloth. Paving from Horne at Camp Bowie to Montgomery is being done by Worth Construction Company. Texas Bitulithic Company holds contract from Montgomery east to Summit. Laborers are shown rippling the concrete with a heavy cloth in the photograph.
