Special guests at the Memorial day ceremony, in which Carswell Air Base paid tribute to the man for whom it is named, Major Horace S. Carswell Jr., at his grave in Rose Hill, were, left to right, Mrs. Virginia Myers of San Angelo, his widow; their son, Robert, and H. S. Carswell of 1614 Denver Ave., his father. There is one unidentified man to the right of H. S. Carswell and another man to the left of Mrs. Virginia Myers. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition May 30, 1951.
