Description

Crew members who were aboard B-36 No. 073 when it clocked its 1,000th hour in the air have a last picture made Monday with the tried and true aircraft before it is taken to the West Coast for installation of jet pods. Left to right standing are the 1st Lieutenant Harry R. Patrick of Georgetown, airplane commander; 1st Lieutenant Clyde F. Morehouse of San Antonio, pilot ; Lieutenant Colonel Arthur C. Madley of Temple, pilot; Captain Mood L. Gee of Sulphur Springs, navigator Captain John L. Winkel of St. Louis, bombardier; Captain Donald F. Perkins, of Lynn, Massachusetts, bombardier; Captain James D. Mahaffey of St. Louis, radar operator, and 1st Lieutenant Leland H. Neville of Park City, Ky, flight engineer, and left to right kneeling, Technical Sergeant Jack M. Brigham of Long Beach, Washington, radio operator; Master Sergeant James R. Shumate of Red Spring, gunner; Sergeant William T. Lynch of Black River Falls, Wisconsin, gunner; Staff Sergeant Edward J. Beila of Holyoke, Massachusetts, gunner, and Sergeant Richard M.
