Image shows Dr. Cary Middlecoff, on 18th hole putts three times for victory in Colonial National Invitation. First putt towards hole and missed by an inch. The third putt was a tap in becoming the new titleholder with 282 against 283, Jack Burke Jr. Looking on is Bryon Nelson, right, crouched on green. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 28, 1951.
