Description

Two days after a rain the roadway in front of African-American houses in the 1400 block of Chambers remains a sea of slush, extending to the doorsteps of the houses. Students of I. M. Terrell High, less than a block north, walk the street to and from school. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition May 15, 1951.
