Wallace Willard (right) softened Jack Woodruff's left by blocking it with his right during one of the high points of their classic middleweight battle in the Golden Gloves tournament at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Willard of Houston took the decision. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 17, 1950.
