    Description

    Ben H. Powell of Austin, left, retiring president of the Texas Bar Association, read the last issue of the Texas Compatriot, organ of the Texas Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, in the company of its editor, Dr. Valin R. Woodward of Arlington, at the annual meeting of the organization. Dr. Woodward is past president of the society. Powell was elected first vice president. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 23, 1940.
