Description
The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs are hosting the visiting Texas A&M Aggies at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday. In preparation for the game, freshman members of the Battery G, Coast Artillery at Texas A&M brought a poster and hung it in the lobby of the Hotel Texas. They are left to right Cecil Warren, John Cheatham, Dick Krueger, Fred Stalnaker and C. S. Jordan. The poster depicts Elmer J. Fudd in a military uniform stepping on a frog with the caption "Stomp those Frogs". Bugs Bunny represents the sports writers and is saying "Say Doc! What's up?" The poster turned out to be prophetic; the Aggies won the game 14-0. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, October 20, 1941.
