Description

State Fair at Dallas, Texas attendees Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Whatley of Groom, Texas. At the right is their daughter, Dardanella, and their niece, Wylafae Whatley. Mr. Whatley is wearing trousers, full sleeve shirt, a tie and a cowboy hat. Mrs. Whatley is wearing a dress and a hat. Dardanella is wearing a dress and Wylafe is wearing a skirt and blouse. Troy Whatley, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Whatley is a winner for his steer. The family members are smiling over the youngster's victory. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 27, 1941.
