Description
Kelton S. Tilley, taxidermist for 16 years is pictured here. He is shown holding the finest and largest bear skin he ever saw or heard of. It is the flawless skin of a giant white polar bear, owned by Caption (Capt.) Elliott Roosevelt from Eskimos on Baffin Island. It goes into a rug for the Roosevelt's ranch home near Benbrook. The tanning will be done in California, but the rug will be finished by the taxidermist here. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 16, 1941.
