Description
Some baby beeves caught the eye of the Chuck Wagon Gossiper at the Texas State Fair at Dallas. The champion Hereford steer in the open classes at Dallas is shown with (left to right) Frank Newsom, county agent of Mason County, Texas; M. W. Kothmann and his daughter, Merlyn Gale Kothmann of Mason, Texas who fed the steer and takes down the very considerable awards won by the 1, 140-pound animal. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 16, 1941.
