Description

A football game between the Masonic Home High School and North Side High School is being held at Farrington Field in Fort Worth, Texas. Late in the second quarter Masons' fullback, Gordy Brown, is shown carrying the ball. He is plowing behind his left guard, chugging across the goal-line for a two-yard touchdown. Tommy Wilson (45) is the Steer attempting to make the tackle. Twain Morrow (61), also a Steer, has his back to the camera. The score went for the Masons' second touchdown of the game. At least 12 young men involved in the scrimmage on a grassy field. Shot with a flash to stop action and no background appears. Uniforms include numbered jersey tops with padded shoulders, knee-length padded kneed pants, stitched leather helmets, slight socks and laceup football boots. "(Star-Telegram photos by Tom Dillard.)"
