Description

The Highland Hereford Breeders Association sold their 1941 crop of feeder calves at Marfa. The sale attracted visitors from many States. The auction attracted the attention of the Chuck Wagon Gossiper. Shown two attendees, from left to right, are C. E. Goodfellow and his son John Goodfellow, both of Springfield, Ohio. Mr. C. E. Goodfellow is wearing a suit, stripped pattern tie, and a cowboy hat. He is smoking a cigarette. Mr. John Goodfellow is wearing a suit and dark tie. The Goodfellows have fed Highland cattle for several years and attended the sale this year to see the country and meet the men who produce Highland Herefords. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 9, 1941.
