Description
The Baylor Bears are opening their college football season at Municipal Stadium in Waco, Texas. They are hosting the visiting Hardin-Simmons Cowboys (dark jerseys). In the second quarter of the game, Baylor's Dwight Park threw a pass downfield. Baylor halfback Bill Coleman (47) is shown scampering under the ball, catching the deep pass. Johnny Boren is the Hardin-Simmons man leaping through the air and attempting to break up the play. Coleman collected fifteen yards after the catch and scored the touchdown. Baylor went on to win 20-0. A referee races along to watch the action from the right. Published Star-Telegram Morn. Sep. 28, 1941.
