Description

The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs are hosting the visiting University of Tulsa Golden Hurricanes. The match-up marks the opening game of the 1941 football season at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. The play that decided the game on Saturday was this two yard touchdown. Frog back Kyle Gillespie (40) is shown the eye of a Hurricane fleet. He is plunging across the goal line, bowing his neck and digging in a path. The Hurricane defenders are Jim Vickers (52), Wayne Holt (39), Joe Gibson (51), and Malcolm Strow. The Frog blockers on the play are John Bond (34), Leonard Pugh (60), Nolan Sparks (24), Bill Crawford (61), and Frank Kring (30). T. C. U. went on to win the game 6-0.
