The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs are hosting the visiting University of Tulsa Golden Hurricanes. The match-up marks the opening game of the 1941 football season at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. The Frogs were in the midst of a nice drive in the third quarter when John Bond (34) fumbled after a five-yard gain. Tulsa's Ralph Morgan recovered the football on the Hurricane twenty-two yard-line. Other Frogs in on the play are Billy Blackstone (50), Bruce Alford (83), Phil Roach (80), Leonard Pugh (60), and Nolan Sparks (24). Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, September 28, 1941.
