Description
The University of Texas football team briefly stopped in Fort Worth, Texas en route to the Rockies for their opening game game against the University of Colorado. The Longhorn high command is going over the game plan. They are,left to right, Pete Layden, Jack Crain and Coach Dana X. Bible. Layden is the team captain. He is dressed in a button-up shirt and trousers. Crain is awake from a nap and still barefooted. He is wearing a striped shirt and trousers. Coach Bible is pondering a new play and discussing it with the players. He is dressed in a hat and a suit. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, September 25, 1941.
