Description
The University of Texas football team briefly stopped in Fort Worth, Texas en route to the Rockies for their opening game against the University of Colorado. Pictured at the train station left to right are Henry Harkins and Stanley Maudlin. Harkins is a back-up lineman who will be suiting up with the starters. He is dressed in a t-shirt and trousers. Maudlin is the big, ace lineman for the Longhorns. He broke his arm on Wednesday and is offering pointers to his successor. He is wearing a dress shirt, trousers, and has his arm in a sling. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, September 26, 1941.
