Description
The Golden Gloves state tournament is being held in Fort Worth, Texas at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Competing in the second round of action in the light-heavyweight division left to right are Preacher Jones and Bill Shield. Jones is representing the Gatesville district while Shield is the king from Abilene, Texas. Shield is one of the most aggressive boxers in the tournament. He is shown using his "beat the man down" tactics. Shield went on to win the decision over the rugged Jones. The referee is standing in the background.
