The Paschal High School Panthers are facing off against the Electra High School Tigers in the first game of the 1941 football season. The game is being held at the Panthers' home, Farrington Field, on a Thursday night. Big Ed Wright, the 205-pound Panther fullback is shown pushing into the end zone. He is carrying a Tiger tackler behind him as side baggage. The score went for the first touchdown of the season. Paschal went on to win the contest 25-6. Four football uniform-clad young men running, falling, reaching, as the game reaches a goal, while a white uniformed referee watches in the background. In the upper portion of the photo are two sets of game field lights. The stands are obscured in the dark. "Here's First Touchdown! ED WRIGHT, 205-pound Paschal fullback, had the honor of scoring the first touchdown of the 1941 season here Thursday night. Here's big Ed crashing into the Electra end zones, carrying a Tiger tacker as side baggage, at exactly 8:17 p. m. Thursday. The fast fullback was a tackle last year.
