Description

The Golden Gloves state tournament opened Thursday night at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Competing in the ring left to right are Herman Choate of Fort Worth, Texas and Joe Kopp, of Port Arthur, Texas. Choate is standing straight up and sending a left jab to his opponent. Kopp is ducking below the blow and a retaliating with a left to Choate's shoulder. The referee is standing behind the action at the ropes.
