The Paschal High School football team is preparing for the home opener against Electra High School at Farrington Field. The experienced Panther team is looking to improve on the 1940 season. Posing on the field in their practice uniforms, left to right, on the top row are Ed Wright and Jerry Sullivan. On the bottom row are James Dezelle, Bill Robinson, and Roy Knepper. Wright previously lettered at tackle, but this season the 208-pounder will play fullback. Sullivan is in a hot battle for one of the halfback positions. Dezelle will do the kicking and passing from his tailback position. Robinson is a veteran guard. Knepper is a guard on offense and a linebacker on defense. All of the young men are wearing stitched leather helmets and soiled football jerseys. The numbers 34, 63, 32, and 21 are stenciled on their shirts; 34 and 21 also have "RLP" stenciled. Robinson has no identification markings on his shirt. "Experienced Paschal Team Shoots for Improved Season. By William King, Star-Telegram Sports Writer.
