Description
The city of Fort Worth had its annual picnic for the 200 policemen and their families gathered at Camp Swift, Lake Worth. They enjoyed 800 pounds of barbecue and 150 cases of soft drinks. Officers A. W. McCombs and John Woodruff, who retired last November, talk about more than 40 years of their combined services with the department. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, September 5, 1941.
