Description
The thirteenth annual Throckmorton County Fair and Rodeo is opening Wednesday morning. A dedication ceremony for the late Frank Rhoades, opened the Fair. Left to right are, L. C. Atkinson and John T. Davis. Mr. Atkinson is the former president of the Throckmorton Fair Association. He is wearing a striped shirt, necktie, and trousers. He is leading "Jack," a favorite saddle horse of Mr. Rhodes, into the arena. Mr. Davis is a long-time friend of Mr. Rhoades and has taken over the job of arena director. He is dressed in a western shirt, bandanna, and trousers. Both men removed their cowboy hats and are carrying them. Automobiles are parked in the background.
