Description
The gun crew of Battery C shelling crossroads north of Lewisville, Louisiana, during Army military maneuvers. Left to right, the crew members are Privates T. Snowden, of Mabank, Texas; Walter Miller, of Waco, Texas; Odis Thompson, of Gatesville, Texas; Dan Barnes and Bill Coffman, and Sergeant J. W. Lee, all of Lubbock, Texas. All the men are wearing their military uniforms and helmets. They are knelt down behind the machine gun, and appear to be taking aim. In the distance, more men can be seen doing the same thing.
