Description

A pool of oil was recently discovered in Mitchell County, near Colorado City, Texas. The land where the discovery is being drilled is owned by E. T. Strain. One of the drilling companies in the county is the C. L. Echols Company. Working on the Number 2-A C. C. Crawford are three members of the crew. The drilling crew, left to right, are Fred Dodson, Hugh Brown, and C. R. Grantham. Mr. Dodson is a casing man. He is dressed in a hat, button-up shirt, and trousers. Mr. Brown is a tool dresser. He is wearing a floppy hat, t-shirt, button-up shirt, trousers, and gloves. Mr. Grantham is a driller. He is dressed in a straw hat, collared shirt, and trousers.
