    Description

    First Lieutenant John L. Minter, of Abilene, Texas, examining a Browning machine gun. Lieutenant Minter is the commanding officer of the 112th Regiment's machine gun troop. He is knelt down behind the machine gun, holding its handle. He is wearing a military uniform and a hat that is strapped to his chin. Behind the lieutenant is an unnamed man cutting down the branch of a nearby tree. Further back are a line of horses.
