Description
Reverend Hubert Crain (right), pastor of Ash Crescent Methodist Church, lays aside coat, tie, and Bible and dons overalls to help lay the foundation for a proposed $8,500 rock veneer building for the church at Ash Crescent Street and Avenue D. The other workers are, left to right, Jack Reynolds, member of the building committee, and H.T. Hudgins. The one-story structure will have an auditorium seating 300. The church formerly was known as Glenwood Methodist. The four men are seen working and laying the foundation.
