Description

Soldiers at the Quartermaster Depot in Fort Worth, Texas, are packing shoes that will trample the Axis Powers. They are using a new "squeeze play" method to fill the shipments to Uncle Sam's soldiers on the battlefront. The technique saves an estimated forty-percent in vital shipping space. Packing the boxes, left to right, are Henry DeKunder and Erwin L. Geyer. They are demonstrating the new packing method. Mr. DeKunder is the storekeeper. He is wearing a button-up shirt, necktie, and trousers. Mr. Geyer, principal packer, is dressed in a peaked cap, short-sleeve shirt, and trousers.
