Description
The Sixth Annual XIT Rodeo and Reunion is being held in Dalhart, Texas. The lively event draws large crowds, often doubling the town's population. In attendance, left to right, are Jack Potter and L. S. "Tex" Crosse. Mr. Potter, of Clayton, New Mexico, blazed a trail for cattle drives from South Texas to Wyoming 60 years earlier. He is dressed in a cowboy hat and a dark suit. Mr. Crosse, of Los Angeles, California, worked on the XIT Ranch in 1895. He is wearing a hat, button-up shirt, necktie, bandanna, and trousers.
