Description

The observance of the Fourth of July in Fort Worth, Texas, is a mixture of patriotic affairs and recreation. A group of people are gathering at the Municipal Airport for the flag raising ceremony. They are raising the American flag on a new pole erected by the National Youth Administration (N. Y. A.). Pictured left to right are William Fuller, E. E. McKellar, Miss Mary Turrentine, John Busselle, Miss Emily Miller, Senator George Moffett, Captain Paul Russell, and W. B. Watkins. Mr. Fuller is the airport manager. He is dressed in a cowboy hat and a double breasted suit. Mr. McKellar is wearing a uniform. Miss Turrentine is wearing a collared blouse and a skirt. Mr. Busselle is dressed in a uniform. Miss Miller is wearing a hat, button-up blouse, blazer, and a skirt. Senator Moffett, of Wichita Falls, Texas, is dressed in a cowboy hat and a suit. Captain Russell is wearing a uniform. Mr. Watkins is the National Youth Administration supervisor. He is wearing a straw hat and a suit.
