Description
The observance of the Fourth of July in Fort Worth, Texas, is a mixture of patriotic affairs and recreation of many forms. One of the officers keeping citizens safe during the holiday is radio patrolman S. H. Latham. He is one of many in the Fort Worth Police Department pulling extra duty. Officer Latham is shown riding in a police car, dressed in his uniform. Police Chief Howard called all men on the force to duty for the downtown celebration of the United Service Organization (U. S. O.). Halloween night is the only other occasion where all officers are on duty at one time.
