    Description

    Many Texas farm families gathered to witness the dedication of the Possum Kingdom Dam, July 2nd. Seen in the photograph is a portion of 2,000 in attendance. Guests are seated on make-shift benches and many are standing and gathered in the back parking area among the vehicles. There is a radio station truck on the left. The day is clear and hot indicated by the use of umbrellas to shield from the sun. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 3, 1941.
