Description
The Polytechnic Girls' Community Center is open for girls in the area to work and play. The center is sponsored by the Optimisses. Pictured is a group of four girls playing Polyanna. They are left to right around the table, Lynah McClure, Jeanene Looney, Doris Jean King and Martha Louise Renfro. Lynah, nine, is wearing a plaid dress with a vest. Jeanene, eight, is wearing a plaid dress with a wide collar. Doris Jean, eleven, is wearing a checkered dress. Martha Louise is wearing a floral dress. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 10, 1940.
