Three Fort Worth, Texas, women, aided by a United Service Organization (U. S. O.) worker, are signing the U. S. O. hostess roster at the organization's headquarters in Hotel Texas for the soldiers' street dance on July 4. Left to right, they are Mrs. W. K. Shedd (U. S. O. worker), Miss Mary Celice Bennington, Miss Violet Rudd and Miss Pauline Risher. There is an American flag (partially obscured) in the background. Mrs. Shedd is wearing a floral print dress. Miss Bennington is wearing a dark-colored dress with a leaf pattern and ruffles along the collar. Miss Rudd is wearing a floral print dress. Miss Risher is wearing a dress with a pleated skirt and a necklace.
