    Description

    Mrs. George C. Jackson of the Houston Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (V. F. W.) Organization shown with the 22 flags which she made by hand for her husband to use in his work. The banners tell the history of America from 1497 to 1941. She is standing in front of the platform where her flags are being displayed. The flags are lined up against the wall behind the platform. Mrs. Jackson is wearing a long-sleeve dress with a hat and a triangle shaped pin on her dress. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, June 26, 1941.
