Description
Pictured is a classroom scene at the Americanization School where students are engrossed in their studies. The students are front row, front to rear, Miss Theresa Zulouf of Poland, Erwin Wolf of Austria, Mrs. T. Bergman of Poland, and Mrs. Annie Rutlader of Poland. On the second row are Erwin Richker of Germany, Mrs. Rosa Snofsky of Russia, Mrs. A. Haller of Poland, and Mrs. Ida Star of Russia. The instructors of the school are standing next to the desks. They are left to right Mrs. Abe M. Rosenstein and Mrs. Harry Teter, instructor. Mrs. Rosenstein is the head of the school. The Americanization School is sponsored by the Council of Jewish Women of which Mrs. I. E. Horwitz is president. Classes are conducted three times weekly at the Hebrew Institute to Congregation Ahavath Sholom. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 7, 1940.
