    Description

Scientific instruments are replacing old-fashioned charts in determining reading efficiency of school pupils and remedial methods. The new test at a reading clinic is pictured here. Use of the opthalmograph is demonstrated here by Professor James H. Dougherty of the Texas Christian University (TCU), education department, director of the clinic, and Miss Gladys Simons of Sam Rosen School, former president of Fort Worth Classroom Teachers Association. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, June 8, 1941.
