Description
A banquet and dance were given at Stamford Saturday night for the 19 flying students who completed the first training period at Arledge-Stamford Field and will enter the basic air corps training school at Randolph Field for the second of the three stages leading to pilot ratings and commissions at second lieutenants. Frank Weatherbee of Galveston, Texas, pins his wings of Miss Marie O'Brien of Stamford, Texas. Each of the cadets was given a pair of wings to present to his date. Miss Marie O'Brien is wearing a fur. Both are sitting at the dinner table. There are plates with leftovers and a miniature chuck-wagon on the table in front of them.
