Description
A Masquerade Ball is being held at the River Crest Country Club for the benefit of the Day Nursery Association. Attending the party in their creative costumes are left to right, Harry Brants, Mrs. F. Kirk Johnson, George Thompson Junior, Mrs. Harry Brants and Mrs. George Thompson Junior. Mr. Brants is dressed as a Dutchman. He is wearing a hat, fake bear, scarf, button-up shirt, trousers, and clogs. Mrs. Johnson is wearing a Mongolian costume complete with a straw hat and a robe. Mr. Thompson is dressed in his red pajamas. Mrs. Brant, like her husband, is wearing a Dutch costume with a Dutch bonnet and dress. They are seated on a couch being entertained by Mrs. Thompson who is wearing a homemade Donald Duck costume. She has a sailor hat, cardboard bill, a blue shirt and white trousers. She is also carrying a Donald Duck figurine. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 4, 1940.
