Description
They figured in the dedication Sunday of the Stamford-Arledge Flying Field, where 80 Air Corps cadets are receiving preliminary flight training at the Lou Foute Flying Service school. Roy Arledge, for whom the flying field was named, in the left, welcoming Jack Armstrong of Sweetwater, Texas, state liaison officer of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, at right, while Charlie Green, Stamford Chamber of Commerce manager, looks on. Armstrong helped arrange the ceremony. Jack Armstrong and Charlie Green are wearing suits and hats. Jack Armstrong is wearing a shirt, trousers, necktie and eyeglasses. All three men are wearing hats.
