Description
Earleen Polk, Chile McKinney and Jack Billingsley, three officers of the 1941 senior class of Texas Christian University (T. C. U.), admire a photograph of university president Doctor E. M. Waits as they study plans for having the president's portrait painted as their gift to the school. Miss Polk and Mr. Billingsley are sitting at a table and Mr. McKinney is standing behind them. On the table is the photograph of Doctor Waits. The senior class will join faculty and ex-students in contributing to the portrait of Doctor Waits, who will retire as president after the commencement on June 2, 1941. Mr. McKinney and Mr. Billingsley are wearing suits and Miss Polk is wearing a dress.
