    Image shows North Side Kiwanis Club purchased United States defense bonds totaling $500. Completing arrangements are left to right, W. L. Pier, and J. R. Edwards. Mr. Pier is vice president of the Fort Worth National Bank. He is wearing a dark colored suit. Mr. Edwards, club president, is wearing a striped suit. They are standing beside chairs, positioned in a semi-circle, looking at defense bonds. There is a desk in the foreground covered in newspapers and a telephone. On the back wall, there is a radiator under the window, a filing cabinet, and a calendar. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 22, 1941.
