    Hicks Field casualty. The wrecked plane of Cadet Robert A. Whitfort, 23, Memphis, Tennessee. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition 1941-05-13. Photograph of the partially destroyed fuselage of a military aircraft. The front of the aircraft is heavily damaged. On the right side of the aircraft are the following words, "Hicks Field", "U.S. Army-PT-19A", "Air Corps Serial NO.41-98", "Crew Weight 400 LBS.", "Fire Extinguisher." On the wing of the plane are the words, "NO STEP." The plane is in a grassy field.
