Amateur boxers competed in the Fort Worth district Golden Gloves tournament. The winners of the eight weight classes are moving on to the state tournament to be held at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Melvin Wilson is the winner of the bantamweight district title. He is standing against a wall at the Recreation Building, dressed in boxing trunks.
